Boracay is primarily known for its world famous white beaches that can rival other popular tourists destinations in the caribbean as well as spots in neighbouring Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The two primary tourist beaches are White Beach and Bulabog Beach situated on opposite sides of the island. White Beach is located on the west side and Bulabog Beach faces the east side. White Beach is the main tourism beach in the island. it stretches over four kilometers with multiple resorts, restuarants and shops to cater the needs of visitors. Other smaller beaches can be found all over the island and it can be explored by taking the motorized Tricycles which act as the island's taxis and can be found all over. Travelers can opt to rent Scooters for reasonable price but have to be ready to deal with the traffic where tricycle drivers are very aggressive. Mountain Bikes are also all over the place for more physical travel around the island.
Daytime temperatures on Boracay generally range from 77-90°F (25-32°C) during the rainy season (November -March), increase to the 82-100°F(28-38°C) range during the Dry season. During Tropical Storm periods, temperatures can fall below 68°F (20°C). Tropical Storms can impact Boracay at any time of year, but are most likely to be seen between June to October.
Virtually no visible lifeguard outpost in Boracay so every visitor must ensure their safety when swimming, although there are multiple dive shops along the beaches where one expert in the seas can anytime help someone in need.
